Interesting facts in Dubai (too)

Habits

Do you want to gloat upon some women who live under Islam? Will you offer an icy, goodlooking and thirsty-killer beer to a Muslim? If you want a burgeoning relationship with Islam-world I don’t recommend that manner, I would like to share numerous curiosum Islam-world’s characteristics.

- Polygomy is still practiced in Dubai. Under Islam a man is allowed to have up to 4 wives. If they want another, they must divorce one. It's not so common nowadays and generally practiced by older men.
- The only mosque that non-muslims can visit in Dubai is the Jumeirah Mosque. You need to cover legs and shoulders.
- Muslim law actually says that unmarried couples can't share the same room. However in practice Dubai's hotels turn a blind eye to this. But there are hotels which observe the rules.
- Never offer an alcoholic drink to a Muslim. Even if you are the biggest gentlemen of all time.
- Women should save their beachwear for the beach.
- Avoid passionate displays of affection in public.
- Don’t drink in the street or in public places (yes, i mean alcohol).*
- Don’t walk in front of somebody when they are praying.

*if you insist, let’s stand here some possibilities for this cultural-events :-)
- Bahri Bar in Mina A Salam – This is an attractive Bar, with lounge offering Arabian tapas and innovative cocktails. Fantastic balcony with great views of the Burj.
- Trilogy in Souk Madinat Jumeirah – Spread over 3 floors Trilogy regularly attracts big-name DJs including Hed Kandi and Seb Fontaine. Smart-casual dress code and mixed group door policy.
- Viceroy Bar and Cocktail Lounge – It is located in four points by Sheraton, and has colonial-style watering hole. Big screen TVs showing sports.

I was about to make a cocktail similar to the dubai’s one, but, I realized i’m not aware of the making process. So, i glanced through the recipes, and show you what i found:

Macallan Scotch Whiskey

„Yes man” – might say Jim Carrey, but, yes, it’s a Whiskey, but the most expensive cocktail of the World too. On the 27th floor of what is billed as the world’s most luxurious hotel, Burj Al Arab, is a glass cabinet holding what is said to be the world’s most expensive cocktail. So far, its noted that only two people have paid the 27,321 dirham (U.S. $7,438.13) for the drink. How did the price tag get established? Well the number 27 marks the number of floors in Dubai’s lavish Burj Al Arab, and 321 is the building’s height in meters. That’s a lot of money just to sip one glass of this 55-year-old Macallan single malt scotch whisky. But in Dubai, money is almost never an object.

Summerization

If you are a guy, who are hanging over a lot in smoggy jazz bars and disco with promiscous girls and their „shall you invite me for a cocktail baby?” mouth-output, i warn you man, not to take those girls in Dubai, by no means, unless you had hit the jackpot on gambling game. ;-)
